Life is going pretty well. Spending time with Eli* is a lot of fun. It's like I'm experiencing my childhood all over again. Having a baby is both overwhelming and joyful; having an expert guide you in your times of need makes the process of raising a baby a lot easier.

I guess the thing that led me to healthcare and to babies in particular is it felt so natural for me. I grew up in a large family of 7 children. Being the youngest, I have always been the designated babysitter to my 26 nieces and nephews. So large crowds and many children have never scared me. My love of twins started with my own siblings who are boy/girl twins.

I recall vaguely those first two weeks at home with a newborn were similar to a long weekend (as a non-parent) in Las Vegas: little to no sleep, you don't remember what you did the night before and you have no idea what's about to happen next.
